Fly fishing report for Williamson River, Wood River, Klamath Lake
Sorry everyone who has been calling for reports. We’ve been very busy lately, but here it is. I’ll post some new pictures in the near future.
Both rivers are fishing great. Swinging and dead-drifting flies on the Williamson are both producing fish. Lots of big fish are present in both rivers. Remember to fish slow and fluorocarbon leaders/tippets are a must in the clear water. There’s still good numbers of fish in the lower Wood. Fish between Petric channel and the mouth.
Both rivers are fishing great! There’s plenty of fish in both rivers to have some fun. Swinging small streamers seem to be taking majority of the fish. Dead-drifting small nymphs is also producing a few. The Hex hatch has been sporadic, but we have been picking up some nice fish when their looking up.
We’ve updated our website, www.trophytroutfitters.com and added this blog for up-to-date fishing reports and information on trophy trout fly fishing in the Klamath Basin. Check here regularly for new posts!
